Raspberry Pi Audio Project to record the audio output.

I am looking for someone that can help me with a project I need done very quickly!

The project is that I'm making a Raspberry Pi that will do some automatic testing on an online video stream as well as playing the stream on the hdmi output with audio.

I have a Raspberry Pi that's currently setup to automatically play the online video stream all the time. I'm also using Node-Red to do some of the testing for the video that needs to be done.

now, I need to get the audio part working. The audio does play fine on the HDMI output but I can't figure out how to do any kind of testing on the audio.. The biggest test I need to be able to do is if there's audio present... like, if it's silent for more then 5 seconds or something... I thought I might be able to use the silence detection that's part of SoX but I can't seem to get anything to work on it, not even the audio loopback..

For someone who really knows linux, I don't think this'll take very long to get working so I made this a micro project, but please bid what you think it's worth to do and I'll also consider that.
