develop Jaegers Tabs application

I purchased Jaegers tabs because they look very clean; however the support at the website is very lacking and the person has not answered any support questions for over a year. I am new to HTML5 and really don't understand the documentation. What I need to know is how to use the control in a little bit more than a basic way. I have put the control on my web page but now I need to figure out how to call certain functions; such as how can I go to a certain tab programmatically; such as going to the page after a java script function is called? How do I reference the control to set properties after the control has been initiated. Just some basic concepts. I'd rather post the project here than posting it to StackOverflow because I'd rather pay that to listen to a bunch of -"why don't you try this and why don't you try that.
