ASIO programming gnuitar GUI rework with hardware interface

we are extending gnuitar project as final year engineering project ..

we need to design this by changing GUI of gnuitar. ...( project on sourceforge)
1.currently its in gtk .... we need gui like guitar rig ...
2. in gnuitar we cant enable and disable effect individually .. ( we want to control each effect individually )
3. we want to connect a USB pedal board .. so there will be a controller module which will have set of flags indicating enable/disable for effect ... ( controller module is simple adapter which will get data from USB and store it in a singelton class )

these are just primary details ... please post questions for clarification...

Note for bidders : we are expecting minimal work ... as it is educational project .
