Implementing seek preview (exoplayer, android)

I want to see similar seek preview (smooth, frame by frame) as in attached video.

It should be done with following statements:

1. Using ExoPlayer

2. Output to GLSurfaceView

3. SeekBar UI doesn't matter

4. Consuming RAM as less as possible (simply frame extraction is not solution)

5. Low cost initialization

Main aim is to make same functionality as shown in attached video for videos up to 3 mins.
