Changes to wordpress database to reflect that the site has moved to a different url

Hi, I recently moved my wordpress site and the associated database to a new url - nt all my content however displays the new url instead routing back to the previous address. (images, etc.)

As I understand it, changes to the database are required. I need someone who knows has done this before to assist me.
