Development of a set of super widgets based on JQuery and JQwidgets. A super widget is a JS/JQwidget widget whereby the functionality and data bindings have been fixed in advance and the widget is completely dedicated to a particular application function. The super widgets will be driven only by a JSON file served from a simple nodeJS server which will also have to be constructed during the project. All other widget settings will be set locally in the source code. Each super widget represents part of the future Priva html5 GUI library for horticulture applications. About 20 different widgets are required. The widgets will be arranged in a simple accordion and tabbed demonstration framework so that each widget can be seperately tested. Each super widget must be seen as a self contained mini app that can be easily loaded into any Jquery application and only requires to receive a JSON file from a server. Some widgets have to return information to the server and this will be discussed during the project.
The project s slightly open ended due to the fact that it is not exactly known how many and what types of widget are required. The project can be started with a budget of 500 euro in order to research what is possible and to set up the NodeJS server, test framework and a few demo super widgets. A separate agreement will then be made for the second phase to develop a series of super widgets.
The final phase with a seperate agreement will be to construct a prototype of a GUI for an irrigation system based on these super widgets.
It is expected to host NodejS server and to test the super widget demo under windows using nodeJS version 8.22 .
