Dear Freelancer,

I am currently working on a project to link a Database with our program Vectorworks 2016, which is a CAD/Design program. Our Database or library of components will be built in 3D and have 2D symbols along with associated Data (MSRP,Dimensions, weight etc.) attached to each object.

The raw data will live on a cloud ie. google spreadsheet, and essentially we would like to have our program Vectorworks 2016 communicate and access the spreadsheet so that when any new component is built in Vectorworks, it would populate that database. In reverse, for example, if we changed MSRP in the database on the cloud, the associated component in our 3D library will change accordingly.

I have made headway on looking for specific drivers for Vectorworks2016 to communicate with the ODBC manager though it looks as though they are out of date.

I currently have these programs installed though I am hitting a wall on linking everything and connecting drivers between them all. I'm also hitting a wall in setting up a simple connection on MySQL which is something I we are not familiar with.

I have attached a picture of what the concept is supposed to look like as well as Vectorworks literature that lays out the details of the programs' ODBC connectivity.

We are working within a Mac OSX environment and if you are familiar with the 'Record Formats' functions of Vectorworks that would be a great plus. Remote access and or local freelancers are welcome.

-MAC OS X 10.11.2

-VECTORWORKS 2016

-MySQL Workbench 6.3

-ODBC Manager 1.0.12

Thank you very much!
