We run an online record store ([login to view URL]) and need help with a couple of things:
1. We currently have Mirasvit Sphinx Ultimate Search Installed. We just need the search module customised to include an extra dropdown selection that allows user to narrow the search down to a particular attribute. The first dropdown we already have is a list of all categories and subcategories. The second dropdown will need to be a list of specific attributes (artist, titles, record label, cat num and all) that aredefined in the admin settings and the final text input is just to type your search query.
These will then all need to work together so that for example you can type michael jackson and have it only search for items that have that search query in the Artist attribute(but ignores it if it’s in the item title or anything else), and only in the category of clothing.
2. We need an alphabet navigation menu added to the category pages only that sorts by the first letter of the attribute “prodartist”. So if a user is browsing the Clothing category, they can click on “M” and view all clothing items by any artist that begins with M. All numbers would be included into a single button “0-9” and all grammatical symbols would be combined into “!#?” or something. It would look similar to the attached image.
3. When editing a product and saving it, would it be possible to either:
A) not update the last modified date of the product unless a checkbox is selected saying to do so, or
B) update the creation date at the same time as the last modified date if a checkbox is selected saying to do so.
Either of these options will achieve what we need.
