iHubbub, the fastest growing networking site for freelancers and home based business owners to promote their business, is looking for a centos, linux server administrator.
Must be someone who knows ruby and authorization and php, shell scripting. Our development server is configured and in constant development use, but needs the following:
check the configuration of the server and software to ensure it is right
advise on handling users
advise on security
advise and set up automatized backup
advise and suggest what to do about mail servers so we don’t have to use mail box accounts
check the mysql server
check the apache server
check caching daemons
check version control systems
Find out (plan and build) a workflow and environment for the iHubbub Drupal developers from user handling and automatizated live cloning to site deployment from dev through SmartSynchronize or netbeans
add git - we currently use github which we pay for so adding a git system to our own server will save us some money
set up secure environ with ssh access for the different developers.
If all goes well on the initial project, there will be continuous work to supervise and create and maintain workflows
