VETERINARY ACCIDENT PREVENTION FOR RAILWAYS USING IMAGE PROCESSING - open to bidding

EMBEDDED SECTION:
In this project we propose a system design to avoid animal accident on railway tracks. Make
the database for animal entrance too. The implementation procedure contains three main
domains : EMBEDDED DEVICE, MATLAB and PC FRONT END. The matlab section
identifies the presence of animals on railway tracks. On identifying the animals command
passes to the embedded device. The device will give alert to the train by means of buzzer and
red led lamp indication. The data is also shared to PC front end section for making the
database. Zigbee module is used for the wireless communication.
MATLAB SECTION:
The animal is detected and captured using Webcam. The implementation is prepared for the
purpose of real time application. We have obtained motion mask by applying background
subtraction and consecutive frame differencing. We also propose a reliable background
update and noise reduction operator to facilitate the result of moving object extraction. The
analysis and result are obtained by using Matlab Image Processing.
Background subtraction does a reasonable job of extracting the shape of an object, provided
the object intensity/color is sufficiently different from the background. Objects that enter the
scene and stop continue to be detected, making it difficult to detect new objects that pass in
front of them. Frame differencing is very quick to adapt to changes in lighting or camera
motion. Objects that stop are no longer detected.
When the object is detected corresponding signal is pass to embedded device.

HI, we have done a similar project before. We used a laptop to run matlab and image proecessing tool will use the internal camera of laptop to detect any movement, then this is passed to a embedded h/w through seria More
