Contest Brief

About Masa:
We believe in hyperlocal regenerative farming and production. Our team is launching a marketplace where locals can sell and buy fresh goods directly from each other. Think Etsy meets farmers markets. Imagine being able to shop unique fresh goods from locals anywhere you live or visit. Currently based in Portland, Oregon, we plan to expand into 20 more cities in the US and at least 5 more countries by 2025.

Anyone can become a seller, whether they are an avid gardener, a backyard farmer, a producer, a boutique artisan, or even a forager. Sellers simply create a free account, list their fresh products, set their pricing, and start earning. Shoppers can buy directly from multiple sellers within a few clicks and get their orders via pickup or delivery.

Target:
From our beta launch, Masa has nearly 3,000 registered users and 650 active customers. More than 80 vendors list some 1,000 fresh products, including vegetables, eggs, flowers, honey, mushrooms, dairy, bakery, locally brewed drinks, and many more.

Target sellers: 30-55 years old, experienced, and passionate about growing or making fresh goods. They often have another professional career but love earning extra money from their avocation and passion.

Target shoppers: 28 - 60 years old, middle income and higher, very well educated, love eating healthy food, supporting local businesses, and building a vibrant, diverse community.


Our ask:
We’d love to ask our early evangelists to put a sign in their front yards to share with their community about Masa. We want the signage to be fun, inspiring, memorable, and intriguing. When a person sees your artwork and wants to get onto our website to learn more about Masa, your design has hit the mission. It’s best to include our URL is www.masafresh.com and a QR code.
