Contest Brief

We are looking for a new logo for our mobile app and online platform – SociAble.

SociAble seeks to make the world a more sociable place for people with disabilities. We empower people with disabilities to live more engaged social lives by filling a crucial gap in readily-available accessibility information.

Our mobile app, online platform and custom-API make it easy for anyone to document and share disability-related accessibility information for all manner of community and social venues. By documenting key accessibility information about a venue (eg. steps or ramp access, door widths, hearing loops, tactile strips and more) we allow people with disabilities to plan their social activities in real-time and to socialise with spontaneity and certainty – a luxury that often goes missing!

Designed by people with disabilities for people with disabilities at the University of Oxford, our unique methodology maps accessibility information in a comprehensive, functional and user-friendly way. Let’s make the world a more sociable place for all.

Employer Feedback

“Javier was fantastic to work with. His design was thoughtful and well-tailored to the brief. He was very responsive and greatly helpful in working through various iterations of the final designs and a consummate professional in his delivery of the final product. Definitely would recommend and work with again.”

Good entrants will include both a general logo and one suitable for use as an app icon. This can be the same or different! Thanks

We are looking to steer away from images of wheelchairs and stereotypical representations of disability. Hence, our name has no reference to disability, but instead focuses on boosting sociability for people with disabilities more broadly
