Contest Brief

We are a leading educational products supplier located in Australia

We offer a wide range of items suitable for schools , pre-schools and home use.

We wish to update the design of one of our items which is a Magnetic Calendar Chart. This item is used to help children learn the calendar and the seasons .

The charts consist of 2 parts. The first part is a 3mm thick Magnetic Board which is covered with a heavy duty gloss paper cover printed with words and boxes.

The second part is a set of pre-cut magnets which are pressed out and attached to the board . I have included artwork in AI format and PDF format for reference. I have also included an image which shows the board in use.

The chart is shrink wrapped and carries a sticker label with our branding in the bottom right hand corner. On the back it also carries a barcode and warning label.

We are looking for an updated and modernised design for both parts of the Chart and the packaging. ie. the board and the magnetic pieces and the packaging.

At the moment the chart is fairly generic.Once the shrink wrap is removed it doesn’t carry our branding at all. We want to incorporate our logo ( attached ) into the new design so as to create an item that is unique to us and discourage copies. We’d also like our website www.newdimensionoz.com.au address added to the chart.

We are required to keep the same magnet cut shapes but can change all other elements. We are looking for new designs and pictures.

We will consider a move away from the corner logo on the packaging to an insert or some other type of packaging.

Just to be 100% clear there are 3 parts to the project. The board , the magnets and the packaging.

We expect to make various reviews and revisions before we award the contest.

The Winning designer will be required to submit finished artwork in AI format as well as PDF and Jpeg.
