Contest Brief
Would like a logo or splash screen with my company name displayed, “VSG Designs” (commas not included). Would like a pomegranate included in the design. Company focuses on electronic design.

I have ranked 4 stars highest so far. I like those designs. I like that they are clean, and incorporate the various elements into the design. I do prefer darker themes; but there are lighter themes that are ranked high because I do like them. I also prefer black/red combinations. But there are also others that do not have black/red that I like a lot too. Make this difficult for me... electronics, pomegranate, legible letters, and it must be clean. Those ranked 4 stars are doing well.

Excuse me, but what's "Clean" about them?
They all use way too detailed and heavy stock-free illustrations, which make the logo look like something related to agriculture instead of digital. And those Red/green bright colors with radish-looking pomegranates doesn't make it any better.
Also if you'll remove the mockups you'll see entirely different thing, because this glass-wall mockups hide all the weakness of the design for a regular person view.
Please keep in mind that you don't buy a "pretty picture", you pay for a marketing instrument, which most importantly should be useful and flexible.
Try to imagine this logo on your website, on a solid Black or white background, surrounded by digital-related content and you'll understand my point.
