Logo design for innovative battery company

Contest Brief

My company is creating a new division known as EVŌQ Energy (don't forget the line on the Ō). We are using nano technology to create batteries that last longer, charge faster, have higher capacity, and are safer and more reliable.

This new division needs its own logo. Your design should include:
• A word mark logo with the words "EVŌQ Energy". EVŌQ must be in CAPS, Energy can be in any case.
• A stand-alone "icon" part of the logo. Think of the Apple in Apple, or the red and blue triangle of Delta Airlines, or the Nike swoosh, the Twitter bird, etc.
• An attractive color palette of 2-3 colors. Avoid using traditional "green energy" colors (bright green, yellow).
• A one-color version of the logo
• A version for a light background and a complimentary/secondary version on a dark background.

We're looking for designs that evoke impressions of power, safety, innovation, electricity, and more. Outside-the-box thinking is encouraged. An explanation of the logo elements is encouraged.

We don't want anything resembling current branding around this division or the parent company, EVŌQ Nano. We want fresh, new, and different ideas.
