Contest Brief

We are looking for a freelancer to join our team in an ongoing role for approximately 6-12 months of work. To find the right fit we have created a test. Please follow the directions and submit your test URL (when I visit the URL it should ask me which account I want to connect and request the appropriate permissions to run your app). Please include screenshots of your work and which repository, server host you used. We currently work with Firebase and Gitlab.

Goal:
Add a CRM Card to the HubSpot account that displays the Region a contact would be a part of.

Instructions:
Using HubSpots oAuth connection please create an application I can connect to a test account. This web app will GET ALL contacts from my HubSpot CRM and sort them according to province. Based on the province your application will assign a region to the contact and display that region in the contact record of the connected CRM.

Regions:
Canadian regions are as follows
Province - Region
BC Pacific
AB, SK, MB Prairie
ON, QC Eastern
NB, NS, NF, PE. Atlantic

For testing I have included fake data you may upload to your test account.

    As per instructions you are making an APP to fetch ALL contacts from a hubspot database, process the province into one of 4 regions and put the information back into ALL contact records. And because it works on API's this will be continuously updated even if a new contact is added or a province is changed. When the dat updates in the CRM it will automatically reflect on the Card

    5) Do they need stylistic/fancy UI or is it just the test logic and Hubspot integration?
    Answer: you are simply getting datta from hubspot, processing and putting it back, no UX needed.
    6) Requirements aren't clear that do we need to display those contacts only on our react app or do we need it display on hubspot CRM?
    Answer: if you follow the resource links you should have all the information required to use the CRM Card Extension with your App

    1) Will this app be used by a single user or multiple users?
    Answer: single user is fine
    2) Do we need to display any data on React app? If yes, will this be cards or datatables?
    Answer: nothing will be displayed anywhere except Hubspot. you do not need to do any frontend design work
    3) If the data will be in card form, then will each Region have their own card or will each contact have their own card
    Answer: You will see in Hubspot cards are pre-formatted you are only submitting the field "region: {your region}"
    4) Do we need to save the region for each on Contact or just as a property on a Card?
    Answer: Your Database in application will need to store this record so HubSpot will know where to fetch the data from to display in the card
