Contest Brief

I am looking for a designer to create a book cover page for my non-fiction book. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing book covers and be able to work with a contrast scheme of orange and teal. The design should be minimalist and include elements that represent Sudan's vibrancy and hope in America. The background can feature a gradient from warm hues at the bottom, representing the Sudanese desert, smoothly transitioning into cool blue tones at the top, representing the American sky.

In the bottom half, an illustration of a simplistic, African-style bower in the golden sands under a radiant sun. This represents the humble beginnings of the author.

In the top half, you can show a stylized silhouette of the iconic Statue of Liberty under a blue sky filled with stars, symbolizing the realization of the American dream.

Connecting these two halves could be an illustration of the ocean waves with a small, weathered ship sailing across, representing the challenging journey of the protagonist.

Finally, the title can be placed in bold, centered text in the middle of the book cover, with the author's name right beneath it in slightly smaller letters.
