Contest Brief

Cute but classy illustrations for a children's book about a missing cat. Age group approx 4-10 years of age.

It will be about 20 pages, depending on illustrations. For copyright reasons I am not including the whole book here - just a few highlights

Some exerpts:

One Saturday, Stuart took Zara and her sleek, black cat, Sphinx and her fluffy, ginger cat, Giorgio, to his lake house, to go fishing.

The next day when it was time to go home, Sphinx was nowhere to be found.
Stuart and Zara searched inside the house but he was nowhere to be found.
They searched outside the house but he was nowhere to be found.
They called and called but Sphinx was still nowhere to be found.

They taped flyers onto lampposts and put one in a store window.

Giorgio sniffed the black cat. “You don’t smell like Sphinx.

You’re not Sphinx!” he growled. “You’re the wrong cat!”

Sphinx leapt into Zara’s arms purring loudly.

Employer Feedback

“Somehow the Freelancer decided the handover was complete and from my perspective we are nowhere near finished. This is my first time to use the site. He is a nice person and has a good attitude but we have both had a lot of personal distractions which meant this project has blowing out quite a few weeks and is still far from being finished. I'm just concerned that I can't seem to communicate with anybody who owns this website I don't know what's going on I'm travelling and all these things are happening at a time when I don't have my computer and I'm trying to do it on my phone and it's just not great. I tried to get the Freelancer to work within the timeframes that I was at home and this did not happen. I am alarmed that it looks as though the job is finished but it's far from finished with the characters wearing and consistent colours of dress etc, green on one page and Blue on another which just isn't right. Hopefully I can amend this feedback and the ratings when the job is fully finished but alarmingly it looks as though payment is being released and the job is no where near finished currently.”
