Contest Brief

I have a business giving private martial arts instruction for adults and young adults. The business is called OC Practical Self Defense. This business is based out of Orange County, California, USA. I would like a logo for use on business cards, websites, promotional material, apparel, etc. I need this in Vector format so that it can be blown up cleanly to any size.

Additional Details: I would like to have the logo able to stand on its own as an icon. I offer women's self defense private lessons as well, I would like a version of the logo that I can use for expressly that purpose (so a more general one, and one that appeals to women).

UPDATE:
I'm getting alot of submissions where the focus is OC. While I like concepts with OC as an element, I don't like designs where it is THE element. OC is not my brand, Martial Arts is my brand. So logos combining the two will have the best chances of success. Logos consisting only of OC will not win this contest.

I have updated the Contest description with feedback for all. I will reiterate it here: My brand is self defense, not OC. OC is the location. Logos which incorporate a self defense topic along with OC have the best chances of success. Logos with only OC will not win this contest.

  Mixed martial art. I teach a mix of Shotokan, Kempo, Small Circle Ju Jitsu, Braziillian Ju Jitsu, Kyusho-Jutsu Kokusai Shihankai 急所術国際師範, Escrima Stick Fighting, Russian Systema and Tai Chi.
