Contest Brief

I am looking to have a logo designed for a small business. If I like the work completed I will have more projects in the future. The business is a heavy machinery dirt construction service. I will be using this logo for multiple items from business cards to website to signs. Format must be in readily available type that a professional printer can plug into and print with relative ease. Logo can be basic but it must not look generic or "canned". There are several optional items that you can do at your discretion. These include the addition of a banner with website address, etc. The framework of logo is to be a shovel (like you dig a hole with) in which the blade is a "shield (coat of arms)". I have included basic pictures below. I really want to have the eagle in the yellow centered in the "shield". I also want to have a slash across the shield as pictured BEHIND the yellow inner shield and eagle. The reason for the eagle is that it is part of my actual coat of arms. I would like for the two halves of the shield to be different but complimentary colors that make sense. (optional part here is the colors, we help with water control so that plants can grow better, maybe green and blue or some variant of that? Open to different ideas as long as they makes sense). I really would like for the shield shape to be the same or very close to the one that I have posted. The handle can be generic as long as it is easily identifiable as a shovel. The banners posted are optional and would go underneath the blade with our website address dirt service.com. I want this design to be classic enough that I can use it 20 years from now without looking dated. I really like classic 50's style art. I am in no way attempting to plagiarize the shutterstock picture I posted it is just showing the type of handle I would like. If someone has a wild brilliant idea I would consider as long as the shape is the same. Thanks.

    Hey everyone, the full name of the company is "Agri Scraper Dirt Service". Quite a mouthful I know. The web address will be dirt service.com however. Not sure there if there is a way to integrate the name into it. The main thing that I am looking for right now is the "shovel shaped" graphic. I can add on the wording letter. To try to clarify it a little more: I really would like to maintain the complete shovel shape. The handle needs to be part of graphic and correctly proportional to the "shield" shape (as in it should look like an actual shovel). The reason this is important is that I am planning on making actual models of this that stand 20 feet high to set on the edge of our projects as a advertising sign. But I will also hopefully be able to make it small enough to electronically place on a webpage or to have printed onto a shirt, etc. Make sense
