The envisioned laser cladding system arrangement consists of a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, a Neodymium-doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (Nd:YAG) laser or a high-power diode laser, a vertical-axis laser cladding powder feeder, a coaxial laser cladding nozzle as well as a process guidance and control system.
