Articulate in English writing and communication. MCP Microsoft Certified Professional. Native Californian. My Father was an auto mechanic and he had his own shop. I grew up working in his shop and started out cleaning parts and walking to pick up the parts. I had to drop out of college when he became ill and take over and run his business. I grew up during the 1950's and through the 1970's with muscle cars and all that. Dang ol (old) oil embargo I tell you what, kinda (kind of) ruinted (ruined) things as they were but perhaps in the long run a good thing. I have worked for Ford, GM, and Chrysler dealerships. Last gig was with Santa Monica Lincoln. Now I am a web guy. I came to L.A. as a drummer in 1992 [login to view URL] and worked for Keith & Bills here in Venice as a mechanic for my day job. In 2000 I was able to get hired as a computer programmer and work in the field during the dot com bubble and subsequently and self educated myself allot like I learned the auto trade by reading technical manuals and documentation. C# ASP.NET, Adobe Flex 3 and ActionScript. MySql and MS SQL. Really cool technologies and much of it outsourced now so I am looking to leverage my American roots and communication skills that I have acquired over my lifetime. I am new to the professional field of writing however so many have commented that they enjoy reading my emails, tirades and rambles that they have convinced me that I am a good writer or perhaps just a decent one. Anyway they tell me to keep the emails coming. Of course researching to find what one needs to complete something is what I have been doing for all of my life and technical manuals although dry are something I enjoy digging through to find the nuggets, the info I need to get the job done or find the answers to a problem. Of course the end result is to fix something or find a possible fix or resolution. Now I need to solve a bit of a lack of employment or lack of funds problem and find another additional source of revenue and perhaps writing can provide that and I am sure it can if I can find the right people to work with who need my knowledge, skills, my reliability and good work ethic. Old school to some degree but the internet is fascinating and can deliver the information needed for research extremely fast and efficiently. Not to mention the tools that the software today offers to get the job done.
