Trusted Operations on Sensor Data

Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), May 1, 2018

This paper presents the design and implementation of a framework that allows the capture of trusted sensor data from both external and internal sensors on a mobile phone along with the development of trusted operations on sensor data while providing a mechanism for performing predefined operations on the data such that the chain of trust is maintained. The evaluation shows that the proposed system ensures the security and integrity of sensor data with minimal performance overhead.

Towards a standards-compliant pure-software TEE for Resource-constrained Embedded Devices

SysTEX 2019

This paper contributes the first architecture of a pure software TEE that supports all of the features that have been standardized by the GlobalPlatform Organization. Our implementation and evaluation results demonstrate the feasibility of implementing a standards-compliant software-based TEE for low-end embedded devices without hardware support or modification that has proven security against all networked attacks.

OSLo: Optical Sensor Localization through Mesh Networked Cameras

IEEE WoWMoM, 2021

OSLo uses a meshed network of low-cost cameras as localization anchors and smart LEDs as tags, which transmit their IDs and context sensor data over the meshed cameras using optical communication. OSLo is capable of localizing dense deployments of tags with an accuracy of under 1 meter at a distance of 35 meters from the localization anchor.
