Over 9 years of diversified experience with a rich mix of management, development, software quality and process engineering. Dedicated approx three years to software development, thrilled by science of software quality, moved on to embrace it. Have been working on quality control, quality assurance, process definition and process implementation ever since. Have kept alive my passion for development by writing applications such as decision support systems, project repositories, work flow systems as personal initiatives, for the organizations I have been working for.

QA Manager
Hired to establish and manage a central SQA department at DPS. This group is central to all DPS offices including US, Kuwait, Thailand and Pakistan. The key objective is to define QA processes using CMMI guidelines and to mentor and allocate QA resources to different projects. Also, to bring the testing resources scattered across projects under one umbrella and manage them.
Key Contributions:
- Supervising QA and testing for a $40 million Data warehousing project for one of the largest US car rental companies
- As a personal initiative, successfully designed, developed and deployed DPS Internal Portal using Windows Sharepoint Services. Over 300 employees are using it now for information sharing and to foster collaboration among distributed teams.
- Successfully created SQA and System Testing process guides using CMMI guidelines
- Established QA department and performing QA activities including audits and reviews according to CMMI L2 process guidelines
- Wrote a paper called Data Warehouse Testing Guidelines, which is being used as a quality standard for data warehouse division and as a testing standard for all future data warehouse projects

Gathered data from defect databases and prepared reports for the top management about the projects progress. Developed documents and curricula on software quality and facilitated awareness for management and employees. Supervised release testing of new products and maintenance artifacts, providing final approval for fully functional commercial solutions. - Face-lifted several Lotus Notes databases to make them user friendly.
- Introduced test automation in the company using several available tools including Winrunner, Silk and Rational Robot.
- Led development in-house testing tools for automated testing.
- Elixirs success in US software exhibition Xplor is often attributed to the System Test Departments tremendous efforts, since the products held firmly when put through variety of complex scenarios.
