Quinlan Marketing specializes in working with small to medium sized businesses, offering Website Development, SEO and Content Marketing and Paid Advertising Support. Our clients range from independent cafes and furniture retailers to legal firms, requiring varied services from full website re-designs to implementation of online applications. The Role We are seeking a part time Web Developer with experience in WordPress and Shopify and knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Web Standards. This is a part time position offering 20 hours a month, with the possibility of hours increasing as needed. Your responsibilities • Build web sites from supplied specifications, meeting company branding • Configuring WordPress and Plugins • Diagnosing and troubleshooting performance and security related issues • Work with in-house Marketing Team, Senior Managers and clients to update content, make structural changes and resolve any website issues, with a specific focus on resolving Speed issues • Performing upgrades and maintenance on both client and company websites, which may include other platforms • Offering technical support and training as required Key Skills & Experience • Formal Qualifications desired, but not essential • At least 2 years web development experience • Excellent knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Web Standards • Experience working with content management systems • Demonstrable experience with WordPress and Shopify strongly desired • Understanding of best practices for SEO • Experience using GIT for version control • Ability to create clean and well documented code • Ability to demonstrate previous WordPress/ Shopify projects
