Ruby on Rails Developer w/ FinTech experience a big big big plus

LD Studios is looking for a contract Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer, full stack and deep experience building web applications using Ruby on Rails and modern front-end frameworks like EmberJS, AngularJS, etc. The Sr. Consultant will assist LD Studios' clients as a developer using Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL and Redis. In this role he/she will continuously improve the design and quality of our products using RSpec, CircleCI and diligent coding and Object Oriented Programming practices. Our company focuses on software for Financial companies. With that said, experience with FinTech in the past is a big plus. Leases, loans, calculators, amortization, NACHA files, and integrating with non-Restful API's and FTP servers a big plus (but not necessary, on the job learning is welcomed and expected!). What the Deliverable is: In a Full Time capacity, delivering new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing existing code for more than one Ruby on Rails-based Financial Applications. All apps run on Heroku, use Github, and have tests and automated deploys running through CircleCI. Type of Freelancer: Someone personable who isn't afraid to speak directly with customers. Being personable and communicative is just as important as coding skills. This would be a FT Remote position. We are in the Eastern Time Zone (GMT -4/-5). What makes us unique?
