The Accounting Assistant is directly responsible for providing a variety of general accounting tasks and clerical support to the accounting department. This position is responsible for professional, effective communication with management along with other essential professional partners. This candidate will provide a high level of judgment, integrity, and professionalism as a member of the Accounting team.


• Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions

• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services

• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures

• Data entry of all invoices for payment

• Manage the weekly check run

• Record all checks

• Prepare manual checks as and when required

• Maintain a filing system for all financial documents

• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files

• Perform other diverse duties as requested or required


• Proof of USA employment eligibility

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Capable of using good judgment and discretion when exposed to confidential


• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Great Plains experience a plus

• Bachelor degree preferred
