Consider the creative and art direction of your brochure/booklet, e.g. first of all, ask yourself: “What do I want to achieve by producing this brochure/booklet??? ? This will in turn help you determine the content, development, flow, and information architecture of your interactive PDF ? facts, statistics, timeline • iStories, personal accounts • Aftermath • What this brochure hopes to achieve (e.g. inform, persuade, enlighten), how? o E.g.? emergency preparedness • Basic layout and design to be done in InDesign o Standing elements to be put on master page o Additional elements to be put on individual pages • Use RGB colours in images and InDesign file • Interactive/multimedia elements to be incorporated in InDesign CS4 o Hyperlinks o Bookmarks o Buttons o Multimedia elements: movie/s and/or sound/s embedded in the PDF and compressed for the Web • (*Optional*: User input form/s and/or form elements to be incorporated Acrobat 9 Pro. If done • The PDF must be tested and fully functional using Acrobat Reader 9.0 • The total file size of your PDF must be within 25 MB (if possible). • **Items to be handed in (hard copy not required):** • Digital files contained in a folder named “YourLastName_FirstName_CCT305A2?? to be ? o Final Interactive PDF o InDesign file o Acrobat Pro file (if applicable) o One-page write-up with a description of? the project: what? is it about, why you chose it, what you hope to achieve by producing this piece, how did you achieve it, e.g. what design choices did you make? o List of references/bibliography ? **Breakdown of Evaluation:** • 10% Concept (overall idea, creative and art direction, look and feel) • 80% Execution of design o 20% Page layout (use of design elements and principles) and attention to details (e.g. typos, inconsistencies, grammatical/spelling mistakes, other flaws) o 20% Effective use of InDesign (and Acrobat skills if applicable) o 20% Navigation, interface, and user experience o 10% Effective use of multimedia elements o 10%, Effort and thoughtfulness • 5% Content (structure, value, and appropriateness to the topic) • 5% Write-up
