Hello,
I'm the Founder of a company named TLC, a start up based in London, UK and I will be heading out to New York this week (29th - 6th) and I am looking for a videographer. I'm looking for a half day videographer to come around the city with me, no editing required. The most important factor is that you have both a passion and skill for conveying emotion through videos, reasoning below!
A little about the company:
The Lion’s Club (TLC) is on a mission to create the world’s first “go to” community of inspiring individuals and to share their stories with organisations’ employees to create an inspirational, motivated and resilient work place. TLC acts as an intermediary between organisations and the inspiring individuals (the “Lions”), who have all faced times of challenge in their lives and are passionate about sharing their experiences and how they have overcome them with others.
My inspiration behind TLC comes from losing my own father in May 2015 when I was 23. My father was murdered whilst on a business trip and I have since been on my own journey and have now decided to step up, share my story and empower others to do so too, in order to inspire those currently in the midst of their own challenge.
The company will be launched in the UK in January 2018. The video will be mostly filmed in the UK and edited in London but I need assistance in creating some shots over in NY. The video will be broken down into half about me and my life and then moving on to my motivation for launching TLC before finally talking about TLC. The video will be showing a range of emotions, in the order of the audience being engaged, shocked, saddened, supportive and finally wanting to be involved.
Please reach out directly with your quote and a few ideas of shots in NY that would help me convey those emotions :-)
Look forward to working with you next week!
Gian
Hi,
I have great Experience on Video Production. I use High end Gear like BlackMagic Ursa and Canon MK III. I can complete job with a success. Please let me know...
I believe I will be the best option for your video project because I am an active video director and video editor with massive skills and wisdom about the new york area, I can take you to some of the best places in manhattan for quality scenes, and documentation. I also offer other services like creating original music for your video to even editing any unwanted scenes out of the project. I promise I will do my best if you choose me, we work with Canon Cameras and also do photoshoots.
Hey Gian, I'm a freelance videographer and editor who works in New York. I have a great canon XA20 camera with a rode microphone that is perfect for shooting on-the-go around the city. I currently do video work at a few startups and am comfortable working at a fast pace. To really capture the NY feel for this section of your video I think it'd be great to hit some landmarks like strawberry fields and the charging bull. I could also arrange to get us some rooftop shots of the city from Dumbo if that sounds like it would be a good fit. I'd love to further discuss details on what your looking to capture during the half day shoot.
Thanks!
-Kirk
Gian, sorry to hear about your father pal however it's admirable that you are using this tragic event to fuel your new project and start up. I tend to do a good job at capturing emotion as street photography is what got me into visual work in the beginning, which may be in line with your project. I noticed most of the bids on your project were from people that weren't based in NYC. Let me know if the need for a videographer is still there, I live in Brooklyn, NY and I would be glad to accompany you. Some ideas I have would be capturing your interactions with less fortunate people on the streets on NYC, which shouldn't be hard to find unfortunately. There are always people in need of shelter or food walking about the busy streets of NYC, or in the Subway stations etc. Capturing some random acts of kindness could also go well with your storyline. Let me know your thoughts and whether or not you've already found a videographer. Kind Regards. Isaiah.
I suggest filming with the back drop of the busy new york city, but more on the Brooklyn side. Perhaps, some b-roll of the more time weathered areas of New York City to convey the emptiness of loss.
Relevant Skills and Experience

Hi, I'm Ray, owner of Lorray Digital Media (lorraydigitalmedia dot com), servicing all of New York city with professional video production services. This is a worthwhile project that we'd love to be involved in with you. Of course the first location that comes to mind is the WTC memorial in lower manhattan, where countless individuals suffered great loss and pain. Ellis Island is another site that comes to mind - my four grandparents came through Ellis Island on their way to the USA - and the stories of immigrants that crossed through this location is indeed moving and emotional. At any rate, we're very interested in hearing more about your project, and providing any assistance possible. With over 20 years producing video content, I have the skills, experience, gear and creative intuition to provide you with the services you need. I hope to hear from you soon.
