Three Questions for a native CANTONESE Expert regarding character "巿" (NOT 市)

FIRST QUESTION: I have some issues with the character 巿 ! It has 4 strokes, I do NOT mean the similar looking character 市 with 5 strokes that means "city"! I also know it refers to some sort of ancient clothings, and I trust this translation, so that's not my problem. However, I also can find another translation for that 4 strokes character, it says: "revolve, make circuit, turn". Did you ever use this character with 4 Strokes in connection with something that could mean in english "revolve, make circuit, turn"? Is this translation correct? SECOND QUESTION: I know the Cantonese Jyutping phonetic "si5" for "City" is correct (市 5 strokes)! But according some websites "si5" is for 巿 with 4 strikes, too. Can you confirm that by your own experience? THIRD QUESTION: How come so many people are typing 巿 instead of 市? For example, 城巿 instead of 城市. It looks clear that the character was mixed up due to its similarity, but how can it happen to type it? Does this happen purposely or accidentally? I do not have a Chinese keyboard, so I can't imagine how and why it does happen so often. Or am I wrong and it's officially correct to treat both characters the same?
