We have a component to be manufactured from plastic using pressure mold, and need to convert the .STL or .IGS file into a SolidWorks file. We need the SolidWorks file of the shape in order to CNC the mold. The component was designed in Rhino, and we need assistance in converting to SolidWorks with no errors. We need 0.01 mm precision; up to 0.05mm precision is negotiable. The SolidWorks file must be the same shape as the one uploaded as .STL or the .IGS file. If you need, we can also provide you with the Rhino file (.3dm), or another file format which can be exported from Rhino directly. NOTE: One possible solution is to use the SolidWorks add-on advertised here: [login to view URL] This add-on is supposed to convert .STL into SolidWorks. We have not tried it, as we don't have SolidWorks installed - but given the affordability of only $30 for 1 week - this should get a try. We expect that this project will not take more then one or two hours for the right candidate. Please place a total budget accordingly.

Hi, I'm a professional 3d modeller and certified solidworks professional. I can easily convert either the iges or original rhino file for you. I can get it identical to the iges, so whatever accuracy is in there will be what you recieve. Hello, there is no such thing as "conversion" .stl or .igs file to SolidWoks file. It's nonsense. Only way is possible to get SolidWorks file is redraw it from scratch I mean from the beginning according to given .stl or .igs file. I am wiling to do it. I'll be glad to help! Cheers!
