The project is to take a database and application in MS Access 1997, contained in an mdb file, which has been operating on a PC running Windows XP, and adapt it so that it will run on a PC running Windows 7 using MS Office Professional 2003. The ultimate aim is to operate it onto current MS software, but I understand that this cannot be done in a single move. Presently, when trying to open the mdb file on the Windows 7 PC, using MS Office Professional 2003, an error message (attached) appears saying ‘The current user account doesn’t have permission to convert or enable this database’, plus a list of specific instructions regarding the user account.

Hello, Are you still looking for someone? I can help you by converting your database for any higher version of MS Access. This issue occurs when you try to open 97 Access in a higher version but you don't need to afraid. I am sure you have two or more databases. One is mdb version and another is mdw which is a workgroup version and it discontinued with MS Access 2007. The upgrade should be pretty easy if you are not using any Active X Control in forms and reports. Please ping me to discuss it further. Thanks
