So... the damping of the O-rings will be tested? Drawings are easy if that's all you need. But... Will you manufacture the O-rings? Are some simulations of them "in action" desired? From initial forces to damping in action... I work with Autodesk Inventor, it supports kinematic hardening, could run some explicit simulations, to illustrate damping - 3D animation for presentations :) Also the clamping of the specimen, design of attachments... the manual says not to use screws (welding prefered), but screws can be fixed in place (like they do in jet engines, to protect from vibration). Also, frequency domain tests are fast and easy. To avoid things like... the manual says no more than 2.5 diameter of a bolt, but... I can make sure the natural frequency of the fixture is above the testing range. To prevent "the equipment" rezonating and messing with measurement of the specimen.
