Automate Excel Workbook

We export sales data from our system Propella - two reports: 1. rolling 12 month sales by customer and product category and then 2. previous 12 month sales by the same fields This is then built into a report calculator in Excel that allows our sales reps to enter a customer account on the front sheet and it pulls that customers data into the front sheet to show performance. Performance is last year vs this year sales, % difference and last months sales. We also have 5 types of customers (engineering, automotive, farming, hardware etc.) that are maintained in another excel sheet (fields 'customer' and 'customer type') which I use to create 'average sales by customer type' to compare a specific customer against typical spend in their class. I want to automate as much of this as possible (best case - auto pull data from Propella and auto update of calculator) and have options to: 1. identify new customers for a reporting round that need their 'customer type' and 'customer class' adding and add that in 2. identify sales on any new product categories that are not shown in the front template and auto add category to front template
