User Activity Capture

The project code will be written in C++. The is specific to Windows and will be using the Windows API The project will use hooks, kernel32 API calls, API exposed by NTOSKRNL among other activity. The core modules will basically track user activity on the PC. That is, it will log the active process which the user is working on, along with when the user started using it, and when the user switched from it to another process. Also, it will log inactivity of the mouse or keyboard, and the time periods of this inactivity. It will also monitor some keys, such as delete or backspace. All this information will be logged to a reliable yet small footprint database, like Access or any other database that does not need an installation. If the code fails, it will need to restart. It will display a UI to the user to show messages basis the data collected, and will show the current logged in user all throughout the user session. Though mentioned above, to re-iterate, the user will be fully aware of the code running and the user will also get messages from the program. This is not spyware. It is not meant to be a trojan or any malicious code. The purpose of this program is to check if the user is experiencing fatigue. The data captured will help determine if the user is actively using the computer or has slowed down. Users make more mistakes when they experience fatigue and hence, this will help alleviate that problem.
