simple ruby (jekyll) script

I have a very simple ruby project, it should come out to around 20-30 lines . I am using Jekyll, the open source blog generator: [login to view URL]

I need a minor modification to it. I want my own generator:

It reads the root blog directory and from there is a folder called _sketches/ inside of sketches is, based off that generates some html:

_sketches/test/[login to view URL]

_sketches/test2/[login to view URL]

_sketches/test3/[login to view URL]

_sketches/fun/[login to view URL]

Deliverable:

after running "jekyll build"

1) It will copy [login to view URL] in each directory into the into the generated blog:

_site/sketches/test/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test2/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test2/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test3/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test3/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/fun/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/fun/[login to view URL]

2) It will generate an index file into those directories, its just a template that exists at _layouts/[login to view URL] , it should fill in {{ [login to view URL] }} with the name of the sketch dir ( test,test2,test3,fun)

3) for each of those folders from _sketches (test,test2,test3,fun), it will generate a file at _site/sketches/[login to view URL] that includes a link to each of the folders, so [login to view URL] will look like:

<html>

<a href="sketches/test/">test</a>

<a href="sketches/test/">test2</a>

<a href="sketches/test/">test3</a>

<a href="sketches/test/">fun</a>

</html>

So the final output it will generate is:

_site/sketches/test/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test2/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test2/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test3/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/test3/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/fun/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/fun/[login to view URL]

_site/sketches/[login to view URL]

I tried doing it myself, but ran into some issues and didnt have time to debug it, I figured this would be a nice simple little project for someone to learn some ruby and Jekyll.

Here is the a sample Jekyll project you can use: [login to view URL] it has all the data you need.

Here are sample generators to copy from:

I know ruby and I haven't tried jekyll but I'm interested. So in short there is nothing else I want to add.
