Background on title Development of layered models for centrifuge modelling Models for geotechnical centrifuge testing are usually made from re-formed soil, allowing for comparisons with naturally occurring soil deposits. However, there is a fundamental omission in this process because natural soil is deposited in layers creating a unique structure. This project will involve using the centrifuge as a tool for creating a layered sample important for modelling true soil behaviour (such as permeability) which is not identical in all directions. Currently, there are limited methods for creating layered soil samples. During this experimental project a student will be refining a new procedure and analysing data for describing the soil structure. What I need you to do? Layered samples, sediment samples, heterogeneous samples, Sedimentation collumns- takes 3 days - and centrifuge only take couple hours, Sedimentation tests, centrifuge modelling, kallion clay, how to test the strength, stiffness and strain on it, what apparatus to be used. Harvard referenced NEED to use ICE VIRTUAL libarary
