Hiring a System Administrator

Hi... It seems that you are looking for professional assistance to help you hire a System Administrator for a client company... To do a very professional job with recruitment you need a professional system! My approach across hundreds of recruitment projects is to firstly understand what is needed of the position for the client... and develop a Job Description (and selection checklist) that presents the company's requirements for the position. The client may already have this. Then you need to figure out the best options for attracting the best applicants... we will go beyond the usual on-line advertising if possible for this. There are options that we can discuss that may work better for you. Then you need to match applicants against your selection checklist and produce a short-list for the applicant assessment processes... we can discuss these in person as I won't give away my professional secrets here... Of course there is the interview ... but we add other processes that are critical to identifying the best applicant(s) ... hopefully - the process reduces the candidates to about three at this stage. Then it is decision time and and referee checking etc.... Finally you need an appointment and induction process to get the person on-board and up to speed!
