numerical solution of the 1D (radial coordinate) inhomogeneous non-linear wave equation with a stiff source term. 1D includes radial symmetry at the center. The solution should be based on high accuracy (forth order in time such as RungeKutta) using implicit time discretization. The code preferably should be written in python/Fortran or Scilab. Since it is a 1D equation with radial symmetry, the whole solution should be only 1 page long and should not take more than 1 day to code for a specialist. The result be presented based on simple validation example demonstrating energy (kinetic, potential, radiated and source term work) conservation for the case when wave equation is representing a membrane.
