Hi! Not sure how much of that is possible... I know what selective search is and what are its drawbacks and I know why people try and optimize it with a more "targeted" approach. The only reason why I'm not sure what you want is possible is because selective search needs as input an OpenCV image (in C++ it's the Opencv Mat equivalent) in order to select bounding boxes. In CUDA (C++ at least) you can only work with primitive datatypes (like int, float, char, bool etc.) whereas Mat it's not supported. Unless your algorithm works with a different kind of input than images then I'm not quite sure if it's possible to port your algorithm CUDA. To C++ I'm sure it's portable, but to CUDA... weak chances to none. If you're trying to process videos (for instance) and you want to do it real-time, selective search is the worst thing you can do. You'd be better off with an RCNN like Darknet's YOLOv4 which if you have few classes, then it can do impressive stuff real fast. But nonetheless, your project made me curious. Cheers!
