I was part of an IBM process group when I was there and I was leading a process mapping initiatives within another Fortune500 company with complete redesign of some APAC and EMEA processes and complete change management deployment. I would be glad to show the links to subprocesses, this is very easy to make.
Maybe you should also consider some important elements of the processes like start/end routines, common revision trail and right positioning on the map, which will make the maps much clearer for the people who work with them.
