We are a food sales company that collects details from all the reps that work for us on a daily basis.
We have 5 offices and every day the director calls the managers of the offices and inputs all the data of the sales reps for the previous day into an Excel spreadsheet, 6 days a week. On the sheet are the details of the sales rep/ i.e. office location, names, rep number, what vehicle he has and vehicle registration.
The data the director collects includes; How many boxes sold, boxes pulled, new customers made, how much money paid in, if they have trainees with them on day one/day 2 and their account balance which changes according to whatever they pay in.
There are tabs that collate all this information and present it as weekly total for reps and offices, monthly total for reps and offices. Previous years totals
What we would like.
We want someone to create an app that will facilitate easier data entry of all these data points. The best way would be a userform box that has a drop down of all the offices and reps in those offices. The MD can then select a rep or an office and the reps details populates the data entry box with information like, weekly totals, yearly totals, where on the leaderboard he is, which trainees he has trained and some other info. The data needs to dynamically change as he enters the sales for the previous day. Also, if he selects an office, all the office stats appear i.e. How many reps in that office, their names, the weekly sales totals, yearly sales totals and comparison against the other offices, i.e.leaderboard.
The idea is that the director can quickly find out everything there is to know about that rep or any office. We also want to be able to pull reports up that shows all the figures in an easy to read way, like a KPI dashboard i.e. pivot charts or similar. I have included some images, including our current spreadsheet ([login to view URL]) which is what we want to change into a friendly app. There is also a userform image, which shows how we would like to enter the data and view the reps or office details. Please ignore the content and wording. It is just showing you what we can envisage is a good way to access the data.
I hope that is clear explanation. We are only using excel VBA as an example. There may be better ways to do what we want but it goes without saying that all of this info must be saved on a daily basis.
