This plugin [login to view URL] enables the WooCommerce Shopping basket to work across a multisite network so that products in the basket on either site in the network are always the same, otherwise, the user has to re-add the product if they navigate to another site in the network.
Please note: that this project is not to edit this plugin.
There are two websites on a WordPress multisite network:
website 1: [login to view URL]
website 2: [login to view URL]
Objectives:
1) To develop a global header so that the "view basket", "checkout" and products are shown in the drop down and link through to the "basket" and "checkout" pages on website 2.
2) The global header to be consistent so that the cart icon and the cart product drop down look the same as website 2 currently looks.
3) Work on the existing header to keep the header controllable allowing to use the theme options.
Also note:
It is just the basket drop down and it's position in the header that needs to be consistent and so that the global basket will link through to website 2 (products, "view basket", "checkout").
Currently, Website 1 does use a plugin to show the basket but the basket can only be shown in the navigation but it shouldn't be in the navigation, it should be in a more prominent position.
The two sites that are in the multisite network are using different themes.

It is not necessary to copy the code from Flatsome, but add the basket code and icon to Newspaper header so that it looks the same as the Flatsome theme. Also, the links in the basket drop-down need to link to the Flatsome cart (i.e. view basket & checkout).
There is code online for creating the basket but it is the position of the code in the header and how the basket icon and basket drop down look, which is important. Obviously, it would make sense to use the same styling etc. as found in the Flatsome theme.
The key point about control is that the Flatsome style for the basket icon, and drop-down is not final and changes may also still need to be made to the Flatsome theme's basket and the same changes would be needed to the Newspaper theme so they the basket drop-down and icon remain consistent.
