I am consistently getting 503 errors on my website ([login to view URL]). My host (siteground) recommended getting a developer in to help me understand why some of the .php scripts are executing in a way that uses what seems to be too many resources - and then fix what ever the issue. The site is www.pithandvigor.com. I have been the sole developer/ designer/ creator of this site for nearly a decade, but I am not a .php expert and I am struggling with this issue and need someone who can help me get things cleaned up asap. I am launching an online course in a couple weeks and expect increased site usage from this - which seems likely to cause increased problems, so am looking for someone who can help immediately.

Hi there, Most common reason for 503 issue is depricated function of php, Which needs to find out and set everything is upto date. checking debug log file will show everything of the cause which setting this error. I would need access to your cpanle or via ftp to error log and sort out the issues. After finding the problem I will solve one by one. Hello, normally what happens is that there is a file that executes the tasks of checking the updates and other maintenance tasks, normally this file must be executed once every 30 min, the problem is that in wordpress every time a visitor enters it executes this file so that the resources consumed by each visitor are multiplied by 5. The second thing you need (if you do not already have it) is to cache the queries made by your site to the database and the scripts in general, a site without cache in wordpress it usually consumes 70 queries per visitor, and after installing a cache it is reduced to less than 30, (these values vary depending on the size of the site).
