Project High Level Requirements – Part I
Architecture
• STACK – PHP, MySQL, JQ, JS, CSS, HTML, REST
• Plan is to develop Android and iPhone apps, designed code shall have structure to support those efforts. (Will discuss during selection process MVC)
• SMTP server based email to be setup for reliable communication (will use external paid vendor API)
Deliverable(s)
• Code (PHP – No frameworks, but willing to listen) base
• MySQL DB design in MySQL workbench
• Documentation
• Any images, CSS, JQ files used (will pay for any logo designs and images that I need to purchase)
• A hosting site will be provided for testing/feedback to create the test site (must be hidden with password initially).
• Private GIT Hub location (paid user login will be provided)
Requirements
• Header & body
o UX shall be compliant with mobile and web screens
• Authentication
o Google, Facebook and Local registration & login
o For local have forgot password functionality using email
o Preference is to integrate with Firebase (but not a requirement at this point)
• Profile (Create / Edit / View)
o User shall be asked to setup a profile. (5-10 fields)
o One of the selectable items is a list of ‘communities/companies’ which will need to be verified by sending email user entered (company emails only). Once validated user marked as verified for that company. List of companies and their details are to be stored in a separate table.
• Front Page
o An SEO friendly page
o As user enters system to check if logged in or not AND location of IP (API will be provided) and if the user logs in which company user belongs to
o Display postings based on the user company and nearest companies (each company list will come with GPS coordinates)
• Postings
o Categories (10)
There will be multiple categories that shall be organized on menu
Allow user to post into the categories
Each post may have about 5-10 fields and allow user to set active/in-active by checkbox and by start and end dates
TBD: Some categories may have to be sub domains (For example: [login to view URL] for job postings)
User to select which companies those posting are to be visible or display across the site.
Integrate with paypal to collect fee per post and shall be configurable for the type of user and category. (Will detail after selection)
Some postings are coupons by vendors to community – these coupons are static and few are to be used only once per user (which means the post will have ‘used’ button which will be pressed by merchant and once used user can’t use that coupon again)
• Messaging
o For each post user did other users can reply
o UX shall be similar to chat
o If user selects to get notifications, email will be sent only if the user is not logged in at that time of message
This will be adapted to Google/iPhone notifications in later phase – this is not part of Phase I for estimation
• Reports
o Users can get reporting of the performance of their postings (views, clicks)
• Administration Pages
o Enable / Disable a user
o Mark a user as admin
o Enable / Disable a posting
o Enable / Disable a given company (from the list provided)
o Ability to approve a post (only for select companies and categories)
• Support
o Once the project completed and live
o Ability to support ad-hoc for few months
o Interact with Phase II team (iPhone and Android apps, SEO team and hosting team)
