To all those web developers who hold a deep appreciation for gorgeous design and elegant functionality, please read on. I'm on the hunt for an individual or team of experienced developers to create me a minimal, yet beautiful e-commerce website for the sale of digital goods, specifically, video games. I'm well versed in WordPress and it's themes it offers, and am experienced in the creation of them personally. However, the website I'm seeking is, to my knowledge, not possible using the popular CMS, as I would be building it myself. Thus, to my proposal:
NOTE: Domain, hosting, branding, SSL, etc will not be required. I've got those sorted.
EDIT: Another site that shows off awesome CSS effects/functionality is [url removed, login to view]
Before beginning, please inspect these two websites: [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]
I'm sure, almost instantly, you'll recognise the layout and style that I am seeking: A boxed layout that utilises the full-width of the screen. The use of the right amount of white-space is perfect, specifically in GOG.
Moving through the features, from top-down, we start at the header. It's important to note that [url removed, login to view] is what I'm trying to achieve. The fixed header at the top of GOG is perfect: Non-intrusive and functionally serves its purpose wonderfully. That mega-menu: WOW.
An image slider is critical, along with the ability to promote 'deals' around the slider that have the ability to contain a countdown as shown in GOG. I need to maintain customer retention.
Believe it or not, but the filtered product list on both GOG and Kinguin is the component I love the most. It's a very basic feature, but one rarely found on pre-made templates, and in my eyes: rather effective. This needs to utilise AJAX (or anything like it) functionality to keep the customer on the page without a refresh.
The headlines/news/blog next to this filtered list is also perfect for SEO and maintain customer retention and interaction.
Onto the category pages for the products: A dense filter system of the products is absolutely crucial. This also needs to utilise AJAX/(?) for a seamless, same-page filtration.
Product pages also need to be designed beautifully. GOG does this perfectly. A good amount of media, with all the crucial information placed densely throughout.
An account page is a must, with an elegant dashboard for their profile and purchases. Additionally, a 'wishlist' is also necessary.
A forum is not necessary at this point in time. However, if something like the 'community wishlist' is possible, that'd be legendary.
Regarding the delivery system of the games: I'll need to integrate an API (that I already have) to the store in order to dropship the products instantly on the completion of the payment.
Payment methods/merchants: currently, Stripe is my go to. However, I'll also need PayPal (braintree) if possible.
