Fixing an old OSCommerce v2.x based store to work on a new server (from PHP5.2 to PHP5.4+)

We have an old OSC based store that has been running smooth for about 10+ years currently sitting on a server running PHP 5.2.17 that we have to migrate now to a newer server so we can install SSL certificate. It is based on OSCMAX 2.0, which was based if I remember correctly on OSCommerce v2.0x. On the new server we can choose PHP version from 5.4 to 7.2. 5.4 stoped supporting register_globals, so the store dies with the error "FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in [login to view URL], please enable it!". Commenting the code of course will not cut it, and I am sure there will be more things to fix with the 5.2 to 5.4+ change. Currently migrating everything to a newer store system is not really an option, so we would just like to keep the system as it is running on the new server, since the only change we really want to do is to have the SSL certificate installed. For those that want to check out in advance; the current web site is [login to view URL] You can check out specs in [login to view URL] For the new host, you can make your DNS resolve [login to view URL] to [login to view URL] (like editing the windows hosts file), that is a copy on a different domain on the new server. And then you will be able to check out [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] I am uploading PDF with the phpinfo on both sites. Previous experience on OSC would sure come handy. I have done all the current system myself so I can help if needed, I know all the insides. Being on GMT+1 or close would be great, also fluent english or spanish is a must.
