During that period I have installed, administrate and maintain a large amount of various servers, such as Web Server (Apache, IIS), Mail Server (Postfix, Exim, MS Exchange), DNS Server (BIND, Unbound, MS DNS), etc., based on , FreeBSD, CentOS, RHL, etc. And of course I have a lot of experience in working with MS Servers and other MS products. Hey. Your error is most likely due to DNS error. In your yum repository there is centos.org. Most likely that cant be resolved to an ip adress. I can fix the server for you in no time if you would like that. EDIT1 Actually the repoforge project is dead. You have to change the repository to something else (such as EPEL). If you needed packages from that repo, you are out of luck

Points regarding your project. 1) Are you using any proxy over your network 2) are you able to ping any website from your server. 3) Do you have done any modification in rpmforge repo file manually. Detail discussion on chat will help better to solve the issue.
