I am currently developing a program using Betfair API, for now only downloading current odds and storing it into database. But the plan is to develop also the part for automated betting. There is no need to use multiple API instances since you can run multiple strategies through one API. Difference would be if you also want to use multiple accounts, then you need more instances. You only need the API, or also implementation of your betting strategies? Well, in any case it is a lot of work...
