Hello. This is a very interesting problem, for which I think we need a creative solution. I am a WordPress plugin developer, I have created well over one hundred custom plugins, many of them for WooCommerce. The quick-and-easy solution would be to add an email field to the cart (including the popout cart, what WooCommerce calls 'mini cart'), set automatewoo to check that field using the automatewoo/guest_capture_fields filter and call it a day. It may be strange to have an email field there though, and if it's required, it may even hurt your conversion rate, not help it. One idea I have is to have the email field there, and have a function to "Check for coupons" - of course there will be no actual checking, but it suggests to the customer that they may somehow have received a coupon to their email address at some point, and they may enter their email address in hopes of saving money. This is just one idea for having an optional email address field in the cart. If you would like to discuss this, please start a chat, thanks.
